As a general guide, expect around 10,000 words per week. But efficiency is nothing without quality, so I always prioritize accuracy, flow, and readability over speed.

That said, there’s one thing I want to be upfront about: If your book contains graphic depictions of extreme sexual violence against children, vulnerable individuals, or animals, I ask that you let me know beforehand. I will read these scenes in advance and have an open, honest conversation with you about whether I feel comfortable translating them myself or if I need to hand them off to someone else. This is the only scenario where I would ever consider outsourcing part of a translation.
