GERMAN BOOK TRANSLATION
Your story has its own rhythm, its own voice — and I’m here to make sure that same energy comes through in German. As a literary translator with a passion for creative storytelling, I don’t just translate words — I capture the emotion, the tension, and those moments that make your readers gasp.
Imagine your readers feeling the strength of your fierce female protagonist, the slow grin spreading across their face when sparks fly, and the shock as their jaw drops at that unexpected plot twist. Whether it’s fantasy, romance, or contemporary fiction, I’ll make sure your story has the same punch in German as it does in English, keeping readers hooked from the first page to the last.
Basic Rule – Four Eyes See More Than Two
A book translation is a complex process that goes beyond simply converting words from one language to another. It's about preserving the tone, style, and nuances of the original. To ensure this, professional editing is essential. No book translation should be published without a thorough review by a second pair of eyes. An editor can spot details that the translator alone might overlook, ensuring that the final version is not only linguistically accurate but also stylistically and contextually polished.
That’s why I have all my translations carefully reviewed by one of my trusted editors and proofreaders, so you, as the author, receive a prooread book—ready for publication.

Sample Translations
I offer sample translations of up to 500 words for a flat fee of €40, payable upfront. This gives you the chance to see my writing style before committing to a full project. If we move forward with the translation, the cost of the sample will be deducted from the total price. It’s a low-risk way to find out, if we are a good match, giving you confidence before we dive into the larger work.
Copyright
Under German law, the copyright for any translation remains with the translator—this is non-negotiable and non-transferable. What does this mean for you? I must be credited by name in the book, both under the title and on all product pages. Once the final invoice is settled, you receive the exclusive usage rights, granting you the freedom to publish the translated work in any format you choose. There are no royalties to worry about, so you have full control over your book's distribution. You keep all the rights to publish; I keep the credit for the translation.
